  12. I recently purchased a Zoom ComStar 28.8 (model 620)..

  14. I realize that this modem is priced inexpensively for a reason, but
  15. I like the fact that it has all the features I wanted in one package.

  17. Here's the prob...The INF file for this thing is totally bass ackward!
  18. It was written in what appears to be one evening!(I won't mention the 
  19. name of the guy who wrote it, BUT he doesn't seem to be ashamed
  20. seeing as how he put his name in the comments section of the file.)

  22. I have tweaked the mdmdsi.INF file for the CreativeLabs Phone Blaster Voice
  23. to work for me 100 times better than the Zoom.INF. (The mdmdsi.INF supports
  24. Rockwell chipsets, VoiceVue, etc...)[ To get the MDMDSI.INF you will have to
  25. have Unimodem V from Microsoft]

  27. I'd like to know if anyone else out there has tweaked/played with the Zoom.INF,
  28. or any.INF to work for their ComStar 28.8 ???

  30. I think that some of us compared notes we could email Zoom with a NEW .INF 
  31. at least show them how sh*tty their current one is.. Any takers?
